Background

I am a self-motivated design leader with 10 years of experience in the tech industry. For the first 7 years of my career, I focused strictly on Development, but in 2017 I realized my passions aligned more with the Design Thinking process and the user's journey. I learned more about UX Design by attending General Assembly's UX Design Circuit and School of Visual Concept's Visual Design for UX course. From there I was able to tailor my role at Rio SEO to incorporate both roles and eventually found myself leading the UI/UX vision for our team of 7. After 3 years in hybrid roles, I decided it was time to focus solely on design. I now work as a Product Designer at Fiserv, leading the Design Systems team.

I am most passionate about Inclusive Design and Design Systems. I am well-versed in WCAG's Accessibility guidelines, can thoughtfully build a Design System from scratch, and I bring a wealth of knowledge about how designs translate into code.

Random Tidbits

• Pre-COVID, I spent a ridiculous amount of time in coffee shops
• I'm guilty of binge watching Parks & Recreation and Friends, repeatedly
• I adore a good cross-stitch project & am always looking for a new craft project to tackle
